About Pan and Circus
The curtain is raised.
In Kyoto, Japan, an old traditional Japanese house (Machiya) has finished its role as a pawnshop for more than 100 years and been
renovated to a guest house “Pan and Circus” in October 2011.
It is not only a guest house, but also a bar, an event space, a place
to cool off, and a place where the discerning and creative people in
Kyoto will be converging on any given night.
It’s run by two young guys, Daisuke Enomoto, the owner
of the Moon PalaceNY and Shinya Yamada,
the president of Toyowado(Kimono dress manufacturer in Kyoto).
Your base of Kyoto stay must be “Pan and Circus”.
Kyoto station(15 min), Shijo station(10 min), Kamo river(just 1 block)
are all within walking distance.
It's a lot of fun to spend time in the bar on the ground floor.
There are the French aristocratic chairs that make you feel raised to the peerage.
in addition, you can also enjoy seeing the modern artworks made by the young creators popular in NYC.
they are imported by the owner Daisuke, a buyer and collector of antique furniture and modern art.
some of his collection is added to MoMA(in NYC) permanent collection since 2011.
Anyone even non-visitor is welcome.

Telephone registration desk is closed after 9:00 at night. Please wait for the reply of e-mail till the next day.
About cancellation of reservation
A cancellation fee occurs from one week before check-in. Since it is a guesthouse of an a small number of people system, make a reservation after the schedule of a travel is fixed.
